Please note that our Community Info Hub shopfront, located in the Griffin Centre at 20 Genge Street, is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday (except for Public Holidays). Our services are still available here on our website and via our Info Line at (02) 6248 7988.

Our Community Info Hub provides Canberra with the community information they need. We provide accessible, comprehensive and up to date information and referral services to individuals, organisations and Government. Our knowledgeable and friendly team help people find the services and programs they need.

Located conveniently in the city, our Community Info Hub is the central point for information and referral to community and government services in the ACT.

Whether you are a student, older person, public servant, raising a family, living with a disability, or from a culturally or linguistically diverse background, we put you in touch with the services you are looking for.

If you are new to Canberra, we can help you find your way around. If you are visiting Canberra, we can offer ideas on what to do and how to get there. Our Community Diary has a large range of community, social and entertainment events.

Drop in and ask us anything!

The internet is a big place, so we’ve created a range of essential Info Guides on some of the most popular topics for Canberrans. We keep them up-to-date as a short-list of resources and services. Topics include ‘New to Canberra guide’, ‘Free meal, laundry and shower guide’ and ‘Student guide’.

Our Community Information Hub in the city centre is Canberra’s community information office.

  • If you’re a local we can connect you with community groups, sporting clubs and other community resources
  • If you just need a little extra help, drop in and we can recommend support services, emergency housing and crisis support services

You can use our telephone to make local and national phone calls at no cost. You can also use one of our computers to search the internet, access your email or even update your CV!

Between August-November, we provide access to free tax help for low income earners.

With our broad knowledge of the Canberra community sector, we can save your agency time by identifying services appropriate to your needs and the needs of your clients.
