Boost your Volunteering Power with the help of ADFA

VolunteeringACT is excited to be partnering with the Australian Defence Force Academy in 2020 to deliver two exciting projects. The Weary Dunlop Activity will return and we will be working to deliver a new Continuous Community Service Project.

These projects will contribute over 9000 volunteer hours from ADFA Training Officers to the Canberra community.

2020 Weary Dunlop Activities

The 2020 Weary Dunlop Activity, a 24-hour volunteering journey, will be held over two consecutive weekends:
5pm Friday 1 May to 5pm Saturday 2 May
5pm Friday 8 May to 5pm Saturday 9 May

Express interest in these exciting opportunities by filling in the form below.

“I want to reiterate the impact that this program has had for the community centre. The money that we would need to spend to complete the maintenance and cleaning can now be utilised for direct service delivery. A MASSIVE thank you to the ADFA Cadets, their leading “Sirs” and VolunteeringACT for allowing us to be part of the program this year.”

YWCA Canberra

“We were very impressed with their enthusiasm to get the job done. They worked hard, but were also very interesting to chat with – they seemed genuinely interested in the work that we do, and how their contribution could make a difference.”

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre

“I learned about life experiences of other people, and how significantly they vary from my own.”

Training Officer

“It is humanity’s mission to know, care and assist one another and that is diluted in the modern world. Helping others allows us to tap into primal and essential community and progress.”
