International Volunteer Managers Day is an international event held annually on 5 November. It offers the opportunity to stop and reflect on the often-invisible line of work that is volunteer management, which enables our community to thrive. The 2020 theme “What’s Next?”, encourages us to think about what volunteer management will look like post COVID-19.

2020 Volunteer Manager of the Year Award, Canberra region

Each year VolunteeringACT hosts the Volunteer Manager of the Year Award on International Volunteer Managers Day. This Award recognises and celebrates the efforts of Managers and Coordinators of Volunteers who support and facilitate the engagement of volunteers across the Canberra region. Managers and Coordinators of Volunteers are critical to providing safe and supported volunteering experiences and this Award recognises their contribution.

In 2020 we hosted a breakfast to celebrate International Volunteer Managers Day and recognise our Award Nominees.

Congratulations to all nominees for the 2020 Volunteer Manager of the Year Award
