2021 Volunteering Expo
Date: Saturday 22 May 2021
Time: 10am – 4pm
Each year, VolunteeringACT hosts a Volunteering Expo in the Canberra region. The Volunteering Expo is a one-stop shop for individuals to find out about volunteering opportunities available in the Canberra community.
The Expo attracts a diverse range of exhibitors from all sectors, including community services, environment, sport, tourism, arts, and education.
Due to the challenges and restrictions experienced in 2020, we had to cancel the 2020 Volunteering Expo. Our last Expo, held in 2019, featured 48 exhibitors and attracted over 1,200 attendees interested in finding their perfect volunteering role.
The 2021 Expo, held during National Volunteer Week, will celebrate the theme “Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine.” National Volunteer Week provides a platform to:
- recognise, celebrate and thank volunteers for the vital role they play in our lives;
- reconnect to what is important by giving our time to help others and ourselves; and,
- reimagine how we better support volunteers and the communities they help.
The Expo will be held in line with the latest COVID-19 health advice and will comply with any physical distancing or other requirements advised by the ACT and Federal Government.
