According to the Red Cross, one in four Canberrans identify as being lonely almost all of the time or on a regular basis. The COVID-19 public health emergency has put further strain on social connection and mental health, with mental health services recording a spike in people accessing their services. So how can we best support our clients during this troubling time?

This webinar will look into why connection and participation is vital to our wellbeing, especially in the current COVID-19 environment. We will explore the ways that VolunteeringACT services can support your clients to connect with their community, through both our expansive knowledge on volunteering and community groups, as well as through our various programs.

This session is aimed at coordinators in the sector who work with or provide services to people experiencing social isolation or mental unwellness.
